The guest room at Rooms on the High Street was cozy and comfortable, making me feel right at home. The flat-screen TV was perfect for winding down after a day of exploring, and the electric kettle was great for making a quick cup of tea. I loved the warm and inviting atmosphere of the room.
Personally, I found the shower in the private bathroom a bit small, but that's just my opinion. Others might still find it perfectly adequate for their needs.

The location was so convenient, I could practically roll out of bed into the town square. And the quiet room made it feel like I had the whole place to myself. Bonus points for the portable fridge, never know when you'll need a midnight snack.
Oh, who needs a bathroom that doesn't smell like a dungeon? Not me, apparently.

I recently stayed at Rooms On The High Street for a few nights. The location was ideal, allowing easy access to the town, harbor, main square, and supermarket. Despite being centrally located, the room was surprisingly quiet. The host was excellent at communication and always responded promptly to messages. The room had everything we needed, including a useful portable refrigerator. The owner's thoughtful touch of providing a binder filled with information was greatly appreciated. The room itself was comfortable, with clean bedding, a spotless bathroom, and comfortable beds. a great location and a lovely room.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

The location of this hotel was fantastic, right on the main street and in the center of everything. Despite not being my first choice, I was grateful that Rooms On The High Street had availability when everywhere else was fully booked. The rooms themselves were clean and comfortable, exceeding my expectations. The communication with the owner was excellent, and they were quick to respond to any queries or issues. Additionally, the beds and bedding were very comfortable, and I appreciated the convenience of having a fridge in the room.
Although the room was clean, it was a bit small for my liking and lacked a desk or table for work. The bathroom being separate from the room and accessed with a key across a shared landing was a bit inconvenient.

The room was very comfortable, with clean and crisp bedding. The bathroom was spotless and had excellent hot water for showers. We also enjoyed the convenience of having a mini fridge in the room, which came in handy for storing our drinks and snacks.
The size of the room. It was quite small for the price we paid, but I understand that prices in this area can be high overall.

Loved the location, felt like the queen of the town center. The room was so spacious and fancy, I had plenty of room to twirl around. The staff were helpful, didn't mind my demanding requests.I'm high maintenance, you know.
The bathroom lights were so thoughtful, they kept turning off mid-shower. It was such a joy to dance around to keep them on.

My sister and I had a fantastic stay at Rooms On The High Street in Portree. The beds and bedding were incredibly comfortable and the room was spacious enough for both of us. We loved having a fridge in the room, even though it was a bit noisy. One of our favorite features was being able to sit on the window sill and watch the world go by. The hotel's location is perfect, right in the middle of the town with convenient bus links to explore the rest of the island. Heather and Vanessa, the staff, were absolutely fabulous and promptly addressed any questions or concerns we had. Check-in instructions were clear and we even received two sets of keys. it was a lovely experience.
Strongly recommend this hotel.
